The recordings for this video originated between 1999 and 2002 along the production of 13 John Bock exhibitions, starting from Athens to New York, Copenhagen, Rheims, Yokohama, London, Stockholm, Los Angeles, Vienna, Mönchengladbach, to Documenta 11 in Kassel.
"John and I knew each other from studying at the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg in the beginning of the 90s. We took the first pictures in 1998, since 1999, at the Venice Biennale, we built installations together. Shortly after, we had our first video camera. I made a habit of recording everything happening around me, soon afterwards with an even smaller camera, the whole process of the production with the involved issues of working together, the glam and the ordinaryness, the success and the own position in it.
